After graduating from Bullock County High School in 1987, Danny Jackson pursued a career in law enforcement with the Montgomery Police Department. He served in several capacities that included the Patrol Division, Accident Investigation and Detective, Solo Motors, and RIOT Team.

In 2014 Jackson was hired as the Chief of Police for the Union Springs Police Department.  He has completed over 200 hours of training with the Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police at Jacksonville State University.  He attended and graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia where he obtained valuable resource information beneficial to the Union Springs and Bullock County Law Enforcement Communities.


Captain Sharon Dean has spent most of her life in Union Springs, Alabama.  She is a member of St. John A.M.E. church.  She graduated from Bullock County High School and joined the military shortly afterwards.  In 1992, Dean was hired by the Union Springs Police Department as an officer.  Dean attended Alabama State University and earned a degree in Elementary Education.  She became an elementary educator while still working in the law enforcement arena.  Dean earned a Doctoral degree in Education Leadership in 2014.  She became the captain of the Union Springs Police Department in 2017 and has plans to attend law school and open a 24-hour daycare.  Her biggest dream is to see more females in leadership positions in law enforcement.
